Our mission is shaped around a single, powerful concept: “If they can’t get to healthcare, then healthcare must get to them.” For over two decades, North Star has stood at the vanguard of last-mile health. Long-distance truck drivers, sex workers, and informal traders are the engines that drive entire economies, yet they remain locked out of the very health systems designed to protect them.
We changed that by transforming the transport corridors themselves into a living network of care. By reimagining shipping containers as strategically positioned Blue Box Clinics, we have built a permanent medical safety net along Africa’s busiest borders and trade routes. We do not merely treat illness; we cultivate trust, dismantle stigma, and safeguard the health of entire regions, one roadside community at a time.
