Nineteen years ago, North Star Alliance opened its doors because we believed in something simple: healthcare should reach the people who cannot access it. That belief has carried us into the lives of more than two million people.

The last six months have been a season of reflection for us. We have looked closely at everything we have built: our clinics, our systems, our partnerships, and asked how we should prepare for our next phase of growth.

It is with profound gratitude that we welcome you to a new era of cross-border health in Africa. North Star Alliance has made the exciting decision to separate from North Star Alliance Southern Africa, so that each entity can better focus its logistics and leadership within its own region. With this separation, we now focus our full attention on Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, building the systems that will carry our next phase of expansion across the continent. We maintain our mission and vision to ensure that the communities we serve receive the best healthcare available, because where healthcare cannot reach them, we will take it to them.

We maintain our Blue Box clinics as the most important part of our system, the governance of our organisation, and the principles with which we engage our partners. The projects we currently run will remain consistent, and your donations will continue to serve the purposes you invested in.

This decision is in service of the next twenty years of this work. We are sharpening our systems. We are deepening our partnerships. We are preparing this Alliance to carry more weight than it ever has.

We are grateful to every partner, funder, and colleague who has trusted us with this mission. The road ahead is long, and we have never been better prepared to walk it.
